The fan's guide:
Max Munton, co-editor of Liverpool fan site This Is Anfield , has supported The Reds for 14 years.
Why Delilah asked Max for his hints and tips for traveling supporters.
What pubs would you recommend for away fans? "Head to The Arkles near the Anfield Road End of the ground. The Arkles is known as the most away friendly pub in the area and is only short walk from the away supporters enclosure in the stadium. The pub has a friendly team of bar staff and many TVs to follow the afternoon's scores and team news on."
What areas would you recommend for parking? "There are numerous car parks around the Anfield area, but most are fairly small and can be nightmare to get out of after the match. Arrive early before the match to guarentee your place in the car park, or consider parking futher away from the ground to avoid the traffic. Be aware that car break-ins on matchdays aren't uncommon."
Do you have any travel tips for our supporters? "Because Anfield is a small stadium among the houses of the area Anfield, try to avoid driving as the roads around the area get busy and you can find yourself stuck in traffic for hours.
Shuttle buses run from the City Centre and outside Lime Street Station.
Often walking towards town, past the traffic for a taxi can prove a time saving idea."
Where would you recommend supporters looking for accomodation headed for? "Liverpool City Centre has a number of hotels just outside the main train station on Lime Street. Head over the road for the Holiday Inn, or turn left out of the station for the infamous Adelphi Hotel."
What local attractions should our supporters pay a visit to? "The city of Liverpool has many tourist attractions to choose from, with a legacy revolving around it's port, the docks and the Beatles.
Visit the Albert Docks at the waterfront, enjoy shopping in the Liverpool One, visit the city's two large cathedrals or, if you don't get to the city centre, Everton's Goodison Park is a short stroll from Anfield."
