STOKE City have been linked with a move for Fulham midfielder Danny Murphy as player-coach.

City manager Tony Pulis is searching for additions to his backroom staff after assistant manager Dave Kemp took up a new scouting role in America.

National media reports have now linked former Liverpool star Murphy with a move to the Potteries, along with Portsmouth’s £6m-rated attacker John Utaka.
