NATIONAL reports are suggesting Stoke are ready to renew their interest in Ghana international winger Haminu Dramani.

The 22-year-old trained with the Potters back in August but any deal for the midfielder was shelved after the president of his current club - Lokomotiv Moscow - said the player would not be able to move until November, when the season in Russia concludes.

Now it appears Dramani, is back on Stoke's radar, and reports from Ghana suggest a deal for 3 million euros has been agreed.

Speaking to Skysports.com, Dramani said: "You all know my dream is to play in the Premier League, but I believe the clubs want to do business quietly.

"I am very patient, hopefully my dream will be realised sooner than later. God is in control."

Dramani, who played and scored in the 2006 World Cup finals, became a target for Stoke after impressing assistant boss David Kemp.

Dramani’s previous ports of call include Red Star Belgrade and leading Turkish outfit Genclerbirligi, impressing suffiently to attract a 3m bid from Lokomotiv on a four-year contract 12 months ago.

He made his international debut at the age of 19 and has since played nearly 30 times for the west African state, including a goalscoring appearance against the United States in the World Cup finals in Germany two years ago.

He further cemented his reputation and popularity in his homeland by impressing against Brazil 18 months ago before being red-carded in the closing stages of a 1-0 defeat.

We certainly need someone

We certainly need someone after the lame display on Saturday against Man U, and our one dimensional attacking options with the current team. I have previously suggested someone like Eljero Elia of FC Twente, who waltzed through Man City's defence every time he got the ball in their recent match and if Dramani can do the same let's get him. If not, let's go for Elia, who now has attracted the attention of Everton, according to the press.

I understand that our one

I understand that our one dimensional play could and will b better if tom soares played or when liam is back fit instead of thumping it upfield to big mama to flick it on which he wins 90% of the time with no one on the end! We need a midfield general like the Roy keanes or patrick vieras!! Someone like jimmy bullard would b perfect with him out of contract at fulham or out of favour striker elano from man city! I am sure yossi benayoun would come for the right price aswell! Anyway good luck stoke should be 6points next two games!
