RECORD signing Dave Kitson will wear the number 12 shirt heading into the new campaign and goalkeeper Steve Simonsen has kept hold of the number one jersey.
City's squad numbers were announced yesterday and the list contains few changes from the season before.
Kitson wore the number 12 shirt while at Reading and will continue with it for the Potters.
Simonsen saw off competition from new signing Thomas Sorensen, who was given number 24, to continue wearing number one.
Fans will be interested to note the number three shirt remains vacant following Marlon Broomes' departure.
Seyi Olofinjana will take over the number four shirt which became available following John Eustace's switch to Watford last season.
Dominic Matteo appears to have secured a role at the club for the new campaign after being given the number 16 jersey, as he wore last season.
Despite appearing in pre-season games youngster Nathaniel Wedderburn has not been given a squad number. Last season Wedderburn wore number 38, which has now been given to academy goalkeeping graduate, Danzelle St Louis-Hamilton.
Another youngster, Marc Grocott has taken over Robert Garrett's number 35 shirt. Garrett was released during pre-season.
Academy stars Jimmy Phillips and Tom Thorley have been given numbers 36 and 37 respectively.
