ASTON Villa’s pursuit of a Champions League berth will be given a stern test at the Britannia Stadium tomorrow.

Although Villa start as Betfred’s 5/4 favourites, we all know the Potters (11/5, Partybets) are not to be taken lightly on at on their home turf.

Indeed, with City beating Villa 3-2 in the corresponding fixture last term, punters anticipating more goals can get 11/10 (Ladbrokes) against there being more than two.

However, Villa have lost fewer away matches than any other Premier League side, a record which suggests the draw (9/4, Totesport) is worthy of consideration.

Stan James’s 11/2 for it to finish 1-1 has attracted steady support, as has bet365’s 4/7 for City to win when kicking-off with a one-goal advantage.

Punters who expect City to maintain their good home form can get 13/2 (Paddy Power) for a 1-0 Potters victory.
