PREVIOUS MEETING
Premier League, May 9, 2009

HULL CITY @1
(Dawson 90)

STOKE CITY @2
(Fuller 41, Lawrence 73)

THIS was the day Stoke City made mathematically sure of their Premier League survival – with two fixtures remaining.
Tony Pulis broke the habit of a lifetime by storming on to the pitch to applaud City’s support during the after-match celebrations.
The action will be best remembered for Liam Lawrence’s stunning long-range strike, but Hull’s 95th-minute consolation was followed by a deflection into Stoke’s side-netting as they sweated through the final 60 seconds.

Hull: Myhill, Ricketts, Dawson, Zayatte (Geovanni, 87), Turner, Garcia (Mendy, 60), Boateng, Kilbane, Barmby, Fagan, Cousin (Manucho, 60).
Stoke: Sorensen, Shawcross, Wilkinson, Cort, Ab Faye, Lawrence, Whelan, Delap, Etherington (Pugh, 85), Beattie (Cresswell, 78), Fuller (Kelly, 90).
Attendance:24,932.

FORM GUIDE
Hull: LWLDL
Stoke: DWWLD

WHO WE’D LIKE TO SIGN
Geovanni would be good fun for six months, but no longer than that you suspect.

WHO TO BOO
Phil Brown, though there might be some competition from the home fans as he seems to have lost his orange ap-peel.

MAN IN THE MIDDLE
Mike Dean (The Wirral). The man with the stopwatch at the end of the home defeat by Chelsea, so stand by for another midnight finish if Stoke are winning.

PROBABLE TEAMS
Hull: Duke, McShane, Dawson, Gardner, Zayatte, Barmby, Olofinjana, Marney, Hunt, Ghilas, Hesselink.
Stoke: Sorensen, Huth, Collins, Shawcross, Ab Faye, Delap, Whelan, Whitehead, Etherington, Beattie, Fuller.

PREDICTION
Phil Brown grabs the microphone and threatens another karaoke after a goalless draw leaves him hanging on to his job.
